Requirements

  • Prior housekeeping or janitorial experience at a lead level or above preferred.
  • Previous experience in healthcare or independent living environment is a plus.
  • A solid work history with excellent attendance & punctuality.
  • High school diploma/GED OR 3 plus years of related experience.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Must have the ability to complete required safety classes.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to pass drug test and FBI/BCI background checks.
  • Must be able to pass sanctions checks for working in health care facilities.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for daily cleaning in designed areas and perform other work projects upon request by manager.
  • Ensure assignments of all environmental staff are performed to customer and state standards and in accordance with established procedures, including meetings and trainings such as "Bloodborne Pathogen.”
  • Provides excellent customer service and solves complex questions and concerns to provide an outstanding experience for residents.
  • Trains new staff on how to properly clean and use cleaning products.
  • Audits facility to ensure the work of the housekeeping staff is being performed according to schedule and following the correct policies and procedures of the department and the facility.
  • Fills in for any open cleaning or laundry position as needed.
  • Always promotes residents’ safety.
  • Assists in onboarding and training of new staff.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
