About The Position

The Housekeeping Laundry Attendant at the Little Rock Embassy Suites is responsible for ensuring that guest rooms and public areas are maintained to high cleanliness standards. This part-time role focuses on providing excellent service to guests while performing various cleaning and laundry tasks, contributing to a welcoming and comfortable environment.

Requirements

  • Previous hotel housekeeping or applicable cleaning experience preferred.
  • Prior customer service experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Able to lift a minimum of 50lbs occasionally and 20lbs regularly.
  • Able to bend and squat repeatedly and walk/stand for the duration of the shift.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain hotel guest rooms, public areas, and laundry according to established protocols.
  • Remove all used and unused linen/terry from rooms.
  • Disinfect all high-touch surfaces and unused amenities.
  • Clean bathrooms and glass surfaces, dust and polish furniture and equipment.
  • Replace burned-out light bulbs and remake beds with clean linens.
  • Replenish supplies such as drinking glasses, writing supplies, and bathroom supplies.
  • Empty wastebaskets and transport trash to disposal areas.
  • Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
  • Ensure the usage of approved cleaning chemicals and maintain storage closets and room attendant carts.
  • Examine and sort articles for laundry according to color, fabric, and cleaning technique required.
  • Use laundering equipment and the correct amounts of chemicals to clean and press linen.
  • Make rounds through the halls to ensure public areas are clean and tidy.
  • Uphold departmental standards of quality and timing measured by customer satisfaction metrics.
  • Train newly hired associates and support ongoing performance development.
  • Perform deep cleaning and preventative maintenance as assigned.
  • Observe precautions to protect hotel and guest property and report any issues to supervisors.
