About The Position
Huntsville Health Care Center is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeping / Laundry Aide to help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents. This role is essential to infection control and overall resident satisfaction, ideal for someone who takes pride in their work and understands the impact of cleanliness in a healthcare setting.
Requirements
- Prior housekeeping or laundry experience required (healthcare setting strongly preferred)
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, infection control, and safety practices
- Strong attention to detail and time management
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and positive attitude
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize resident rooms, common areas, and restrooms
- Follow infection control and safety protocols at all times
- Collect, wash, dry, and distribute resident laundry and linens
- Handle soiled linens in accordance with facility procedures
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies
- Respond to housekeeping requests promptly
- Work closely with team members to ensure facility standards are met
