Housekeeping / Laundry Aide – Full Time Bear Creek Nursing & Rehab Center 8041 State Road 52, Hudson, FL 34667 Skilled Nursing Facility Full-Time | Benefits Available | Stable Hours Bear Creek Nursing & Rehab Center is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Housekeeping / Laundry Aide to join our Environmental Services team. This role is critical to maintaining a clean, safe, and infection-controlled environment for our residents, families, and staff. Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or healthcare EVS setting is strongly preferred , but we will consider candidates from the hospitality industry with strong sanitation and housekeeping experience. Position Summary The Housekeeping/Laundry Aide is responsible for maintaining resident rooms, common areas, and laundry services in accordance with facility standards, infection control protocols, and regulatory guidelines. This is a hands-on role that requires reliability, a strong work ethic, and attention to detail.
Requirements
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, dilution, safety protocols, and infection control procedures is required
- Ability to work independently and maintain productivity standards
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness standards
- Reliable transportation and the ability to report to work on time
- Attendance is critical — consistent, dependable presence required
- Ability to lift up to 40–50 lbs and remain on feet for extended periods
- Must pass all pre-employment screenings, including background check and drug screening
Nice To Haves
- Previous SNF or healthcare EVS experience strongly preferred
- Hospitality housekeeping experience will be considered
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas
- Follow proper infection control procedures and chemical usage guidelines
- Handle, sort, wash, dry, and distribute resident laundry
- Maintain cleaning equipment and report maintenance concerns
- Follow facility policies related to OSHA, CMS, and infection prevention standards
- Properly label and store chemicals according to safety regulations
- Work cooperatively with nursing and other departments to maintain a safe environment
- Respond promptly to environmental service requests
- Maintain professional, respectful interactions with residents and staff
