The Housekeeping Inspector will be responsible for inspecting all guest rooms and ensuring the proper cleanliness of guest rooms and linen closets. Requirements

• A high school education or equivalent experience
• One to two years of employment related experience
• Working knowledge of housekeeping
• Supervisory skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff, management and guests
• Ability to operate a two-way radio, cleaning and general office equipment, including a computer
• Continuous movement and standing
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
• Ability to push or pull up to 35 pounds
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that will include days, evenings, weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Train and inspect guest rooms for cleanliness, appropriate guest amenities, and the working conditions of all guest rooms.
• Ensures that cleanliness and quality standards are met.
• Check status of all guest rooms to include guest requests, out of order rooms and rooms to be cleaned each day.
• Assess inventory and assign rooms for cleaning.
• Verify and report status and/or discrepancies of rooms.
• Inspects and evaluates the physical condition of guest rooms.
• Communicate and coordinate with Engineering to ensure efficient maintenance and repair of items related to guest rooms.
• Perform Housekeeper duties, as needed.
• Assist department manager in maintaining close control and inventory of linen and supplies.
• Assists in the maintenance of the lost and found program.
• Issues proper keys to authorized personnel.
• Maintains key control.
• Respond to special guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
• Performs any other duties as requested by your manager.
