About The Position

The Housekeeping Houseperson is responsible for assisting the Supervisor and Room Attendants by performing various cleaning and support duties including linen supply and proper transportation and storage of soiled and clean linen.

Requirements

  • Previous hotel experience, preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing VIP rooms.
  • Clean and maintain hallways, walls, guest elevators, windows, service areas, service bathrooms, service elevators, ice machines, and linen closets.
  • Assist Room Attendants in special projects such as mattress turning, deep cleaning, cleaning patios and outdoor areas, and carpet shampooing.
  • Collect soiled linen and trash from Room Attendants in a timely manner.
  • Stock linen closets as needed to maintain par levels.
  • Pick up or deliver guest request items including laundry and valet within 15 minutes of receiving the request.
  • Move furniture or other items as needed, following proper safety procedures.
  • Demonstrate commitment to making a conscientious effort to eliminate or reduce the risk of injury to our guests and associates, damage to our property or the property of others.
  • Know the correct action to take in the event of an emergency, and demonstrate this knowledge by acting appropriately in the event of an emergency.
