About The Position

Banner University Medical Center - Phoenix has a great opportunity for a Housekeeping EVS Lead. We are looking for hard working individuals who will be responsible for ensuring our facilities appearance is top notch. In this role, you'll be responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining the hospital. Our housekeepers are a very important part of our hospital staff. Requirements

• Requires the skills, knowledge and abilities in healthcare environmental services work typically acquired over two or more years of related work experience.
• Must have leadership skills and be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must serve as a role model to others in customer service skills, safe work practices, and infection control including hand hygiene.

Nice To Haves

• Basic computer skills in word processing and electronic mail are preferred.
• Additional related education and/or experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures that staffing plans are carried out properly, and that all areas of the hospital/facility are staffed appropriately.
• Performs cleaning functions in patient rooms, specialty areas and common areas.
• Works closely with supervisor to train and retrain, recruit, retain and develop the Environmental Services team members.
• May supervise staff in the absence of the Environmental Services leader.
• Assists supervisor in performing Quality Assurance Inspections for review and correction of deficiencies.
• Distributes linens and supplies as needed; takes inventories in assigned areas.
• Works independently with general supervision.

• Flat rate $1/hour weekend shift differential
• 18%-night shift differential when applicable
