About The Position

The Housekeeping Coordinator acts as the main point of contact in the Housekeeping Operation. This role assigns rooms to Room Attendants, dispatches Houseman and Runners on requests and supports the overall day-to-day efficiency of the Housekeeping Operation.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in housekeeping department or Rooms division preferred.
  • Must have working knowledge of computers and systems, experience with Opera preferred.
  • The ability to multitask and prioritize is essential.
  • This role has direct contact with employees and guests and as such good communication skills are a necessity.
  • Fluency in English is required for this location and this job requires applicants to have current work authorization in the in the United States.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Record every telephone call in a logbook/database noting the action taken, who is responsible, and whom the call was received by.
  • Handle guest requests for the Laundry/Valet Department.
  • Communicate guest requests to team members to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Organize the Housekeeping office, ensure files are updated, make photocopies, word processing, and other administrative tasks.
  • Maintain key inventory to ensure all section keys/master keys are accounted for; any missing keys must be reported to most senior Housekeeping Manager on duty and notify the Security Department immediately
  • Track all guest related items by monitoring an in-house guest list, rollaway/crib report and check-out list from the Property Management System
  • Monitor number of rooms being released, assign sections to team members, assign keys
  • Maintain lost and found logbook/database, run discrepancy report, record all engineering deficiencies in Hotsos application.
  • The ability to participate in regular staff meetings to keep employees informed of hotel policies and changes and ways to increase guest satisfaction and service standards.
