Job Summary Our Housekeeping Attendants are essential to the day-to-day operations of the hospital system. We boast a large department with several growth opportunities in both Zale Lipshy and Clements University Hospitals. With various shifts available, you can work the shift that best fits your lifestyle. We have multiple shifts available including overnight, day, and mid shifts as well as PRN (per re nata, as needed), Part Time (benefits eligible), and Full Time (benefits eligible). Current Openings: Full Time Part Time Per Re Nata (PRN, as needed) Available Shifts Day - 1st Mid-Day/Evening - 2nd
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
- Ability to read/write and speak English.
- Previous experience in housekeeping functions is preferred but not required.
- Customer service highly recommended.
- This position is security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code §51.215, which authorizes UT Southwestern to obtain criminal history record information.
Responsibilities
- Cleans and maintains patient care, staff, and visitor area.
- Performs terminal cleaning procedures of patient rooms.
- Dusts furniture, woodwork, equipment, and dust-mops floors.
- Gathers and disposes of trash and waste materials.
- Wet-mops rooms, halls, stairways, and public areas.
- Attends educational programs and in-service meetings as required.
- Completes and maintains all job performance requirements and standards as established in Career Ladder Program, including disciplinary action section.
- Maintains required records, reports and statistics as directed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
