About The Position

The Environmental Services (EVS) Associate aides in maintaining a high quality standard of housekeeping. This includes performing cleaning functions in assigned areas while following assigned schedules and specific methods to provide patients, visitors, and staff with a sanitary, orderly, and safe patient care environment. EVS Associates aid in prevention of cross contamination, controlling bacteria, odor, and sustaining acceptable aseptic conditions. They may assist with moves, recycling, delivery of supplies, and the removal of trash and biohazard waste.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent preferred.
• 6 Months to 1 year of experience in housekeeping or cleaning in a healthcare environment preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning functions in assigned areas.
• Follow assigned schedules and specific methods for cleaning.
• Provide a sanitary, orderly, and safe patient care environment.
• Aid in prevention of cross contamination.
