About The Position

The Housekeeping Associate at John Knox Village is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various assigned areas of the facility. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance required.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively using simple sentences and paragraphs.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Nice To Haves

• Associate's degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Keeps premises of John Knox Village property clean and orderly.
• Cleans and prepares rooms or living areas after resident dismissal, transfer, or move-in/move-out.
• Washes beds and mattresses, replaces soiled linens and curtains.
• Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms, utility, and storage rooms, replenishing supplies as needed.
• Dusts furniture and equipment, polishes metal work, and washes windows and door panels.
• Empties wastebaskets and transports trash to proper bins or recycling areas.
• Cleans and polishes light fixtures and kitchen appliances.
• Mops and vacuums floors and carpets to maintain clean walking areas.
• Transports cleaning disinfectants, vacuums, mops, and small equipment.
• Maintains checklists of completed work and reports necessary work orders to supervisor.
• May help serve meals in the Main Dining Area if assigned to VCC Housekeeping.
