About The Position

The purpose of this position is to perform janitorial duties in order to maintain the physical appearance of the interior and exterior facilities either owned or under the control of Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee.

Requirements

• General knowledge of cleaning duties is required.

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent is preferred.
• Knowledge of specific use of broom, mop, vacuum, buffer, stripping machine, lawn mower, hedge trimmer, and cleaning chemicals is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cleans designated facilities depending on assigned locations.
• Collects and removes all trash cans from trash daily and replaces liners.
• Dusts.
• Vacuums.
• Sweeps.
• Washes windows.
• Cuts grass and trims hedges (if necessary).
• Strips and waxes floors.
• Cleans air vents.
• Cleans light fixtures.
• Performs minor plumbing repairs, such as unstopping clogged sinks, drains, or toilets.
• Cleans restrooms including disinfecting and deodorizing, replenishing toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels twice daily.
• Cleans mirrors, sinks, toilets, and urinals.
• Sweeps and mops floors.
• Cleans grounds around the entire facility.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
• Complies with all company policies and procedures, as well as other duties as assigned by management.
