Requirements

  • Is a professing Christian and is supportive of Timber-lee Ministries’ mission and core values as well as committed to the truths found in our Statement of Faith.
  • Commitment to a Christian lifestyle and demonstration of character in keeping with the biblical model.
  • Exhibits a sincere love for the Lord and desires to see people come to know Him personally and grow in their faith.
  • In agreement of, and supports, Timber-lee Ministries' philosophy and policies.
  • Demonstrates excellent work ethic and excels at providing quality guest experiences.
  • Has excellent communication skills and the ability to teach and lead others.
  • Understand and exhibit behaviors and skills needed to function and be accountable in a team environment.
  • Passion for people, learning new things, and a sense of adventure.
  • Has some experience in, or is teachable in, cleaning skills.
  • Is not allergic to, or sensitive to, normal cleaning products.
  • Has a valid drivers license and clean driving record (preferred).
  • Shows a willingness to do assigned tasks.
  • Uses time wisely to accomplish assigned tasks.
  • Maintains good communication with supervisors and other staff members.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds of materials and/or equipment, and can carry/move them up to 300 yards.
  • Is able to physically traverse the multi-terrain campground in all seasons of the year; able to be on one’s feet for long periods of time.
  • Candidates must be at least 16 years of age at time of hire to be considered for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Prep and clean cabins, guest rooms & restrooms
  • Help with camper/staff move-in by handling luggage
  • Keep public spaces sparkling and up to camp standards
  • Assist with seasonal cabin changeovers
  • Pitch in with special projects as needed
  • Work in a team that makes camp feel like home!
  • Assist with camper arrival/departure on weekends
  • Participate in other camp activities as planned by the Recreation and Ministry Departments, as the schedule allows, mainly after dinner hours.
  • Flex into other roles and temporary assignments to other duties (including Cabin Leader) if needed
