The position involves responsibilities related to cleaning and ensuring the necessary amenities and supplies are in guest rooms. The individual will ensure that carts, linens, rooms, and equipment are clean and in working order, while being accountable for guest satisfaction as it pertains to housekeeping service at the property. The role requires assisting and responding to requests in a positive and timely manner, providing the highest level of quality service to guests. The individual will work as a team player and actively contribute to the efforts of other departments as necessary. Additionally, the position requires understanding and following the company guest service recovery program, lost and found procedures, and ensuring a clean and safe work area in compliance with company, brand, local, state, and federal regulations. The individual will inspect rooms for maintenance needs and report any maintenance service issues, be knowledgeable about the safe use of chemicals utilized within the housekeeping department, and follow all company procedures for guest/employee incidents. Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures is also necessary. The role demands producing the required volume of work by planning, organizing, and prioritizing work duties, adhering to the company attendance policy, appearance standards, and general work rules and department procedures. Attendance at all required department and hotel meetings is expected, along with responsibility for the proper use of all equipment and supplies.
