About The Position

The Housekeeping Services Assistant works under the general supervision of the Housekeeping Services Group Leader and is responsible for the cleaning and disinfecting of patient and non-patient areas, preparing rooms for incoming patients and performs other duties as assigned. Responsible for linen and waste processing. This position is part-time, requiring 40-56 hours every two weeks, with a shift length of 7am-3:30pm and weekend frequency of every other weekend. The wage range is $14.50 - $18.90.

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning patient care areas, rest rooms, offices, and isolation rooms.
• Removing waste and soiled linens.
• Maintaining the housekeeping cart and restocking the housekeeping closet.
• Transporting waste to designated collection points, including medical waste.
• Processing clean and soiled linen following established guidelines/procedures.
• Cleaning waste holding carts after use.
