Housekeeping and Laundry Supervisor Job Highlights Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff. Assign daily cleaning duties and inspect work for quality and compliance. Ensure proper cleaning and sanitation of resident rooms, common areas , and clinical spaces. Monitor adherence to infection control policies and safety procedures. Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching to staff. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; order as needed. Respond promptly to housekeeping requests or complaints. Collaborate with nursing and administrative staff to meet resident care standards. Conduct routine audits and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Maintain records of cleaning schedules, inspections, and staff performance. Department payroll Manage schedule for staff in laundry and housekeeping department. Clean and sanitize resident rooms and other interior and exterior facility areas. Assist in maintaining a facility that is neat in appearance and odor free at all times . Follow a regular schedule of all daily, weekly, monthly, seasonal, and annual cleaning requirements. Follow special cleaning schedules such as windows, walls, curtains, washing beds, etc. Clean (including vacuuming, wiping, mopping, polishing, etc.) rooms, offices, and common areas ; polish and straighten items; confirm residents’ rooms are safe, comfortable, and maintained in an attractive manner and residents’ personal items are safeguarded.
