Housekeeping and Laundry Lead Job Highlights Establish systems for direction and oversight of facility housekeeping, floor care and laundry services. Organize and assign all housekeeping, floor care, and laundry tasks so that the workload is evenly divided among personnel on the basis of size and physical layout of the facility. Develop and supervise a daily cleaning, laundry, and floor care schedule. Keep a regular schedule of all daily, weekly, monthly, seasonal, and annual housekeeping, floor care, and laundry cleaning requirements. Closely supervise work schedules to ensure no over-staffing, that staffing matches census and labor budget and that scheduled staff is used efficiently and effectively. Fill in, as needed, for housekeeping, floor care, and laundry staff, including days off, vacations, and call outs. Maintain a facility that is neat in appearance and odor free at all times. Keep required records of maintenance checks, periodic linen weight report, and monthly cleaning report as directed by Administrator. Develop and supervise a schedule for special cleaning such as windows, walls, curtains, floors, turnaround cleans, etc. Order housekeeping, floor care and laundry supplies within budget, maintaining accurate inventory.

Requirements

  • Possess and display a practical knowledge of daily housekeeping, laundry and floor care operations in a nursing facility.
