About The Position

The Housekeeping and Laundry Assistant Director is responsible for assisting the Housekeeping and Laundry Director with the delivery of services to residents living on The Wesley campus. They must be leaders in our quest to provide an extraordinary quality of life at The Wesley.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED are required.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Must be capable of understanding and following oral and written instructions.

Nice To Haves

  • Housekeeping and supervisory experience are preferred.
  • Previous experience in working with older adults desired.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and computer experience are helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning resident spaces according to their preferences.
  • Coordinate and assist in the process of moving residents onto the campus and with the campus.
  • Maintain inventory control of linens and draperies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industrial cleaners and chemicals, and of fire and accident procedures.
  • Ensure notification of residents regarding cleaning schedules and any changes to that schedule.
  • Collect, store and discard recycled clothing.
  • Maintain cleaning schedules.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of departmental equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
  • Maintain confidentiality concerning residents, employees, departmental issues, and The Wesley community
  • Carry out policies and procedures of the housekeeping program and laundry services.
