About The Position

Cleans walls, lights, fixtures, and furniture in all assigned areas of the hospital to maintain an aseptic environment and prevent healthcare-associated infection using standard cleaning procedures and chemicals. Cleans, waxes, extracts, and maintains floors, carpeting, and stairwells and assists with heavy cleaning throughout the hospital.

Requirements

• Requires the ability to read and follow instructions.
• Equivalent to two years of high school preferred
• Up to one month to become proficient in all aspects of the position.
• To operate all cleaning equipment in a safe proficient manner that does not cause damage.
• To work and interact with patients, staff, and visitors to create and maintain an environment conductive.
• Required to comply with OSHA regulations for the N95 respirator training and fit testing.
• Must be compliant at the beginning of each scheduled work shift.
• Adheres to infection control policies and guidelines appropriate for their work area.
• Hand hygiene and PPE requirements followed when appropriate.
