About The Position

Housekeeping Aid Pawtucket Falls is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Housekeeper Aide to join our Environmental Services team. The Housekeeper Aide is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for our residents, staff, and visitors in accordance with state regulations, infection control standards, and facility policies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and remain on feet for extended periods
• Ability to comply with Connecticut Department of Public Health and infection control requirements

Nice To Haves

• Prior housekeeping or environmental services experience in a healthcare or nursing home setting preferred (not required — training provided)

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, nursing stations, offices, and common areas
• Dust, mop, vacuum, and disinfect surfaces daily
• Remove trash and regulated waste following infection control procedures
• Replenish paper goods, soap, and sanitation supplies
• Clean discharge rooms thoroughly according to terminal cleaning procedures
• Follow isolation and infection prevention protocols (PPE use required)
• Report maintenance or safety concerns to supervisor promptly
• Interact courteously with residents, families, and staff
