About The Position

The Housekeeping Aide is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in assigned areas of the medical center. This role involves performing various environmental services duties to ensure a neat, orderly, and safe environment for patients and staff.

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and carry items of 25 lbs.
• Ability to push carts weighing up to 200 lbs.
• Ability to perform frequent physical activities such as pulling, pushing, bending, and kneeling.
• Ability to understand and communicate effectively in English.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum six (6) months experience in a similar role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and maintains assigned areas using standard cleaning products and equipment.
• Operates cleaning machinery such as wet mop units, vacuums, and floor scrubbers.
• Cleans patient areas including restrooms, discharge beds, and furniture.
• Cleans auxiliary areas such as nursing stations, exam rooms, and waiting rooms.
• Replenishes supplies like paper towels, toilet paper, and soap.
• Reports unsafe conditions and follows safety rules established by the department.
