About The Position

At NewYork-Presbyterian, our housekeeping staff is essential to ensuring a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment for our patients and their families. From friendly smiles and conversations, to the continuous focus on infection control, our housekeeping professionals help to provide a positive experience for everyone within our hospital. In this role you, will maintain the Hospital floors as directed in a sanitary, orderly and attractive condition. In addition, strip old finish from floors using stripping/waxing machines and apply new finish (wax) to floors with the use of waxing/polishing machines. This is a full time position, working 12:00am-8:00am, including weekends/holidays.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of automatic floor scrubbing machines, floor buffer machines, wet/dry vacuums and floor care chemicals.
• Ability to take direction and work independently.

Responsibilities
