About The Position

The Housekeeping Aid position at the Kayenta Health Center involves performing essential cleaning and disinfecting tasks to maintain a safe and sanitary environment for patients and staff. Requirements

• Ability to perform the work of the position without more than normal supervision.
• Knowledge of harmful bacteria and germicidal compounds used for cleaning.
• Ability to interpret instructions and specifications.
• Ability to use and maintain cleaning tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and disinfecting floors, sinks, commodes, door and plumbing fixtures, mirrors, and spot wiping walls.
• Performing isolation cleaning using strict aseptic procedures.
• Vacuuming, dusting, and wet mopping floors, corridors, and offices with germicidal solutions.
• Scrubbing and disinfecting rooms, linen rooms, offices, lounges, and bathrooms daily.
• Cleaning urinals, washstands, and dispensers with scouring paste and disinfecting them.
• Vacuuming and cleaning carpeting, washing walls, windows, and glass partitions.
• Replenishing toilet tissue, paper towels, and soap dispensers as needed.
• Disinfecting wastebaskets and trash containers daily and relining them after trash removal.
• Collecting soiled linen and transporting it to the proper disposal site.
• Cleaning and disinfecting offices daily during normal working hours.
