About The Position

The Housekeeper position at Atria Senior Living involves maintaining a clean and sanitary environment within the community, including residents' apartments. The role emphasizes providing excellent service to residents and guests while ensuring that all housekeeping and serving duties are performed efficiently and courteously. Requirements

• Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
• Effective communication skills in English with employees and residents.
• General knowledge of sanitation and safe food handling practices.
• Ability to retain orders (up to four at one time).
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide general housekeeping for both the Community and individual resident apartments, including vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning common areas.
• Clean and defrost refrigerators as needed, check heat system filters, change bed linens, and ensure adequate linen supplies in each apartment.
• Perform deep cleaning of apartments as required, focusing on entry areas, carpets, plants, pictures, railings, windows, and light fixtures.
• Launder all linens using the provided laundry facilities, following company sanitation and safety procedures.
• Greet residents and guests at each table, serve beverages and meals, and take resident orders.
• Bus and clear dishes from tables after meals, resetting for the next meal while following proper sanitizing procedures.
• Complete side work such as filling sugar holders, replenishing creamers, and cleaning the coffee maker.
