About The Position

The Room Attendant/Housekeeper at AmericInn Osceola is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of guest rooms and public areas within the hotel. This role is essential in creating a welcoming environment for guests, ensuring they feel confident in the cleanliness of their accommodations. The position requires a keen eye for detail and adherence to the hotel’s cleanliness standards. Housekeepers must possess a positive and upbeat personality, demonstrating a commitment to outstanding customer service and cleanliness. In this role, housekeepers are expected to maintain a high level of professional appearance and demeanor, wearing the brand-approved uniform and name tag as required. Confidentiality is paramount, as housekeepers must ensure that guests feel secure in the trust they place in the housekeeping staff. A sense of urgency is also important, as housekeepers must efficiently clean and prepare rooms while consistently meeting budgeted goals for time spent per room. The essential functions of the position include cleaning and stocking all assigned guest rooms, which involves changing linens, replacing supplies, dusting, vacuuming, emptying trash, and cleaning bathrooms. Housekeepers are also responsible for dusting and polishing furniture, straightening furnishings, and cleaning appliances and dishes as necessary. Communication with the Head Housekeeper regarding room status is crucial, as is greeting guests encountered throughout the property. Housekeepers must take pride in their work, strictly adhering to all health, safety, and sanitary guidelines set forth by federal, state, local, and brand standards. Training in security, alcohol, and health and safety is required, along with compliance with OSHA and other safety guidelines. Housekeepers must follow safe chemical handling procedures and maintain cleanliness and organization in their workspace and storage areas. Regular participation in daily meetings and adherence to key control guidelines are also part of the job. Housekeepers may assist in training new staff and are expected to contribute to a positive work environment while performing other duties as assigned.
