If you take pride in your work and enjoy helping others, we’d love to have you join our team. We are looking for a Full Time Housekeeper for 1st shift (7:00am - 3:30pm). This will include a weekend rotation every fifth weekend. The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of resident rooms, common areas, and facility spaces. This position plays a key role in infection prevention and in ensuring a positive environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
Requirements
- Previous housekeeping or custodial experience preferred (healthcare setting a plus)
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25 lbs. and stand for long periods
- Reliable and punctual
- Commitment to maintaining resident privacy and dignity
- Must be able to pass background checks per state regulations

Responsibilities
- Cleans assigned areas by washing furnishings and equipment and mopping floors with special cleaning solutions and disinfectants to prevent the spread of disease.
- Uses damp, disinfectant-treated clothes and vacuum cleaner to dust windowsills, blinds, floors, furniture, and equipment in an orderly fashion.
- Scours and polishes sinks, tubs, mirrors, and other equipment.
- Assembles materials and supplies from the supply room and transports them to the work area via a cleaning cart.
- Replenishes supplies of soap, towels, and other dispensable items.
- Reports on mechanical failures or negative conditions observed in assigned area to the Director of Housekeeping.
- Gathers and disposes of trash, washes wastebaskets and large refuse containers, and relines with plastic bags.
- Removes soiled linens, towels, beddings.
- Periodically polishes floors with a buffing and polishing machine.
