About The Position

The Housekeeper is tasked with working in offices, common spaces, and resident rooms. Keeps the facility in a sanitary, orderly, safe, attractive condition and in compliance with established standards, while using proper cleaning and disinfecting techniques. To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have knowledge of/ experience in the following: Strong Attention to Detail: Ability to notice and address small details to maintain high standards Time Management – Efficiently completing tasks within assigned schedules Strong Organizational Skills: Managing and coordinating multiple neighborhood housekeeping tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Reports all problems and equipment failure to the Environmental Services Manager, and fills out a maintenance request slip when any repairs are needed in the work area
  • Follow proper procedures and promote safe work practices in order to maintain a safe working environment such as using wet floor signs and using rubber gloves when using strong chemicals.
  • Reports safety hazards such as rugs that skid, overloaded wall plugs and frayed cords to the Environmental Services Manager
  • Cleans assigned offices and lounges, empties trash and recyclables, dust and polished furniture
  • Vacuums upholstered furniture and carpets.
  • Keeps all glass windows clean, wipes doors, door frames, walls and sills
  • Must perform work with quality and efficiency assuring that work is completed by the end of the shift
  • Maintains confidentiality regarding resident information as well as other information pertaining to the business of Messiah Lifeways
