Housekeeper- New Mercer Commons Assisted Living
About The Position
As a Housekeeper at New Mercer Commons, you will: Follow daily checklist. Clean resident rooms. Clean bath houses as needed. Keep Housekeeping storage closets clean & orderly. Disinfect and sterilize equipment. Sweep and scrub floors. Shampoo carpets and upholstery as needed. Dusts all facility. Polish metalwork. Washes walls and woodwork. Washes windows, door panels and sills. Clean public bathrooms, halls, dining areas, offices and sitting areas. Empties wastebaskets. Clean patios. Transports trash and waste to disposal area. Loads Housekeeping carts with supplies. Maintains vacuum cleaner. Extra duties on a weekly & monthly schedule. Report structural and equipment wear, defects and malfunctions to Supervisor, Report supply and equipment needs.
Requirements
- At least 17 years of age
- Some high-school education
- Preferably at least one month of related experience
- Ability to effectively communicate in one-on-one or group settings
- Ability to do basic mathematical skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Self-motivated
- Positive attitude
- Passionate about helping others
- Ability to multi-task
