About The Position
This position is responsible for: Performs a variety of housekeeping duties in a shelter setting to ensure a clean, safe, and orderly environment for residents, staff, and visitors. Cleans bedrooms, bathrooms, and common areas; collects, washes, stores, and distributes linens; ensures the overall neatness and cleanliness of the shelter on a daily basis; and supports general facility upkeep.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Six months to one year experience performing general housekeeping duties, preferably in a shelter, residential, or institutional setting.
- OR any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Responsibilities

- Perform laundry and linen management
- Ensure facility upkeep and safety
- Monitor and report maintenance needs
- Support overall shelter operations
