About The Position

Homestead Village is a thriving non-profit, CARF-CCAC accredited, Life Plan Community located just outside downtown Lancaster. We are seeking someone who is highly skilled, enthusiastic, & excellent customer service skills to join our compassionate community as we enhance independence and dignity for all our Residents. Our Housekeepers are critical to the health, safety, and wellbeing of our residents and the entire community. Location - Main Apartment Building; 111 Independent Living w/ Personal Care Services available Schedule- Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm, including every 6th weekend/holiday rotation Base Pay - Determined based upon years of experience; starting rate $15.75 with no prior experience

Requirements

1 year experience in general housekeeping is preferred
Ability to clearly communicate with residents & co-workers to meet resident needs.
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Must be honest and dependable.
Excellence in customer service.
Adheres to the Company Wide Behaviors.

Responsibilities

Observe and adhere to OSHA safety standards, facility and departmental policies and procedures.
Clean movable and stationary furnishings and fixtures.
Dust, spot clean or wash, disinfect, as necessary.
Empty and clean waste baskets.
Straighten and/or rearrange furniture, as necessary.
Establish warm, respectful relationships with residents, family members, & team members.
Perform emergency housekeeping assignments when necessary.
Vacuum carpets.
Dry, wet mop and disinfect floor surfaces.
Perform basic housekeeping tasks such as sanitize bathrooms, wash windows & mirrors.
Maintain housekeeping equipment in performing duties.
Report equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
Perform other duties as assigned.
