About The Position

The Housekeeper plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, orderliness, and overall presentation of residential and commercial properties within the real estate development and management sector. The Housekeeper will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning tasks efficiently and effectively, often within tight schedules and fast-paced environments. Attention to detail and adherence to safety and operational protocols are essential to prevent damage and ensure a safe environment for occupants and visitors. Ultimately, the Housekeeper supports the property management team by creating a welcoming and well-maintained atmosphere that reflects positively on the organization’s reputation.

Requirements

  • Ability to speak and understand English to follow instructions and communicate effectively.
  • Basic literacy skills to read and write cleaning checklists and reports.
  • Manual dexterity and physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks including reaching overhead and floor care.
  • Capability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Basic mathematical skills to measure cleaning supplies and manage inventory.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial services within real estate or property management.
  • Familiarity with environmentally friendly cleaning products and sustainable cleaning practices.
  • Certification in occupational health and safety or related training.
  • Ability to operate specialized cleaning machinery such as floor polishers or carpet cleaners.
  • Multilingual skills to communicate with diverse tenants and team members.

Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough cleaning of floors, carpets, windows, and other surfaces using appropriate tools and cleaning agents.
  • Follow detailed oral and written instructions to complete daily, weekly, and special cleaning tasks as assigned.
  • Manage time effectively to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Handle manual tasks requiring dexterity such as moving furniture, reaching overhead areas, and operating cleaning equipment safely.
  • Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisors.
