About The Position

Community Eldercare Services (CES) is looking for a Housekeeper to join our growing team! Housekeeper duties include but are not limited to: Clean resident rooms, offices, and common areas using standard procedures (vacuuming, mopping, wiping, polishing, etc.) Ensure residents’ rooms are safe, comfortable, and maintained attractively while safeguarding personal items Clean spills, soiled areas, and other hazards promptly Follow cleaning schedules and maintain equipment and supply carts Sweep, vacuum, scrub, strip, wax, and buff floors Move and replace furniture and assist in heavy lifting as needed Ensure proper lighting, cleanliness of storage and exterior areas Coordinate daily housekeeping services with other departments Follow all rules regarding Residents’ Rights Maintain safety by adhering to procedures for cleaners, hazardous materials, infection control, isolation, fire, safety, and sanitation Report hazardous conditions, accidents, and incidents to supervisors promptly Attend orientation, in-service training, and staff meetings; assist in training new staff members Perform other duties as assigned Our mission is to reconnect people to life through individuals serving individuals. Requirements

  • No prior experience or formal training required
  • Ability to read simple words and sentences, perform basic math operations, and follow written/oral instructions
  • Ability to promote positive relationships with residents, visitors, and regulators
  • Physically able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, lift up to 50 pounds, and handle repetitive motions
  • Willingness to work in environments with moderate noise, vibration, chemical exposure, and varying weather conditions

Responsibilities

  • Clean resident rooms, offices, and common areas using standard procedures (vacuuming, mopping, wiping, polishing, etc.)
  • Ensure residents’ rooms are safe, comfortable, and maintained attractively while safeguarding personal items
  • Clean spills, soiled areas, and other hazards promptly
  • Follow cleaning schedules and maintain equipment and supply carts

  • Coordinate daily housekeeping services with other departments
  • Follow all rules regarding Residents’ Rights
