We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Part-Time Housekeeper to join our JCC team. Originally built in 1973 and expanded multiple times over the past five decades, the campus reflects both the organization’s history and its future. Responsibilities include performing routine cleaning, sanitizing high-traffic areas, maintaining restrooms and common spaces, and supporting the overall upkeep of the building.

Responsibilities

Clean locker rooms, shower stalls, and washrooms daily to maintain sanitation and safety standards.
Sweep, vacuum, mop, scrub, wax, and polish various floor surfaces using industrial cleaning equipment, including scrubbing and buffing machines.
Operate mechanized cleaning equipment such as vacuums, polishers, and buffers.
Wash interior and exterior windows according to the established schedule.
Strip and recoat all floor areas as needed and in accordance with scheduled maintenance.
Use ladders to clean walls, ceilings, vents, ceiling fans, and high or hard‑to‑reach areas.
Clean bathrooms, sink areas, offices, classrooms, common areas, and all other assigned spaces.
Dust all surfaces, including furniture, fixtures, equipment, and windowsills.
Move furniture and equipment to ensure thorough cleaning of all areas.
Remove stains from rugs, walls, floors, and other surfaces using appropriate cleaning chemicals and solutions.
Empty trash containers daily and ensure proper disposal of waste.
Safely handle and store various cleaning solvents, chemicals, and supplies in compliance with safety protocols.
Plan and organize work schedules for major cleaning tasks.
Perform seasonal tasks such as sweeping exterior walkways or removing snow as needed.
Report any maintenance or repair needs immediately to the supervisor.
Communicate effectively with staff, members, and other facility personnel.
Performs all duties as assigned.
