About The Position

Join Hygea Healthcare at our new 50 bed substance use detox facility in Middle River. Full time - available shift Thursday - Monday Housekeepers perform any combination of light cleaning duties in a clean and orderly manner. Duties may include making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning rooms and halls, and vacuuming.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent GED preferred
Two years' experience
Ability to read, write and communicate with people and follow instructions.
Must be able to push carts, equipment, and supplies to all areas of the facility.
Must be able to lift trash and linen weighing from 25 to 35 lbs.
Must be able to bend, stoop and climb.
Must be able to use mops, brooms, vacuums, wall washing equipment and high dusting equipment, which would require working below waist level up to over head level.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize patient rooms, restrooms, tubs and showers, day rooms.
Clean offices, public areas, laundry rooms, and nurses’ stations.
Clean all fixtures and accessories in all areas.
Vacuum and spot clean all carpeted areas.
Sweep and mop all tile and concrete areas.
Pull trash.
Replenish paper towels, soap, toilet paper, and liquid soap, as needed.
Water shrubs and plants inside the facility.
Issue linens and ensure adequate linen supply by taking regular inventories.
Monitor inventory of housekeeping chemicals and supplies and report to the supervisor.
Must be able to work in a cooperative manner with co-worker, managers, clients and prospective clients.
Must be able to work in constant state of alertness as to perform the job in a safe manner.
Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.
