About The Position

Meadow Ridge is the premier life care retirement community in Fairfield County, Connecticut, offering Independent and Assisted Living apartment homes, as well as a skilled Health Center providing quality care and services to residents. We are seeking Full-Time Housekeepers to join our team. The main role of a Meadow Ridge Housekeeper is to maintain a safe and clean community for residents, associates, and visitors. This involves ensuring clean and sanitary conditions in assigned areas through the economical use of supplies and proper care of equipment, while maintaining quality standards of performance. This opportunity is ideal for individuals dedicated to assisting others and who take immense pride in their work.

Requirements

Understand the practices surrounding the proper handling of biohazardous waste.

Nice To Haves

Experience cleaning residential or commercial settings is preferred, but we will train.

Responsibilities

Thoroughly cleans all assigned resident apartments as scheduled by the supervisor including: Bathrooms (toilet bowl, sinks, bathtubs, countertops, mirrors, sterilizes floors) and Kitchen (wipes counters and under objects, mops kitchen floor).
Vacuum all exposed areas completely, including edges.
Empties and rinses (if necessary) wastebaskets.
Washes inside of windows as needed.
Cleans all common areas according to standards and practices including elevators, halls, landings, stairs, resident activity areas, lobbies, and model units, and cleans other flat surfaces as scheduled or requested by the supervisor.
Maintains a clean laundry room in an orderly manner and stores chemicals in accordance with product or supervisor instruction.
