General Summary: Performs housekeeping services and responsibilities. Works under direct supervision and follows standard procedures and written instructions to accomplish assigned tasks.

  • Cleans and keeps an orderly condition of health care facilities, residence halls, school, office buildings or similar buildings.
  • Sweeps, mops, scrubs, buffs, polishes floors and vacuums hallways, stairs and office space.
  • Empties trash and garbage containers.
  • Cleans and restocks restrooms.
  • Cleans glass inside reachable areas.
  • Cleans furniture.
  • Makes beds (when applicable).
  • Notifies supervisor concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating and ventilating equipment.
  • Spot cleans carpets either by hand or using a machine
  • Washes walls.
  • Cleans lounges and kitchenettes.
  • Completes basic cleaning duties as assigned.
  • May be responsible for limited food service responsibilities such as serving meals according to posted menus, washing dishes and maintaining proper food temperatures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or necessary as they relate to the general nature of the position.
  • Take personal accountability to ensure that all documentation for valid employment is maintained throughout employment and is renewed as applicable in a timely manner.
  • Education – High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Experience – Minimum of 6 months' housekeeping experience
  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • Valid AZ DPS Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card (must maintain valid card throughout employment).
  • CPR, First Aid, AED certification, if required (must maintain throughout employment).
  • Current, valid Driver’s License and 39-month Motor Vehicle Report, proof of vehicle registration, and liability insurance that meet company insurance requirements, if required.
  • Initial current negative TB test result, if required (Employer provides).
  • Valid Food Handlers Certificate.
  • Responsible for maintaining all required employment documentation, certifications and licensure, and for ensuring that applicable documentation is renewed in a timely manner.
