About The Position
Clark County (Indiana) Government is seeking qualified applicants for the full-time position of Housekeeper. The usual days and hours are Monday - Friday, 7 am to 3 pm. The Housekeeper position, in summary, will clean, sanitize and help maintain County owned or occupied buildings.
Requirements
- detailed oriented and thorough
- Sufficient ability to read, write, speak, and communicate in English
- able to be discreet and respect the privacy of employees and citizens
- prolonged periods of standing and walking
- frequent pushing, pulling and bending
- walking up and down stairs
- occasionally work in various types of weather
- must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds at a time
Responsibilities
- general cleaning and sanitizing
- clean and disinfect bathrooms
- wipe and dust surfaces
- empty trash containers
- vacuum and clean floors including mopping floors
- occasional outdoor duties such as snow/ice removal
