About The Position

Position Summary: Responsible for cleaning the buildings, removing debris and keeping areas neat and tidy. Vacuums and mop floors, shampoos carpet, empties trash receptacles, and replace lining of trash cans as well as other related janitorial duties.

Ability to communicate, interact and work positively and effectively with staff and residents at all levels.
High school diploma or GED and one (1) year of experience working in a Janitorial role.
Polished and professional appearance and attitude.
Self-starter and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
Gather and empty trash.
Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
Service, clean all showers and locker rooms.
Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
Wipe down all fitness equipment & spin bikes
Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
Steam-clean or shampoo carpets.
Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events such as banquets and meetings.
Other related duties as directed.
