Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods of time
Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of objects up to 25–40 pounds
Ability to step stools to reach high surfaces
Repetitive motion tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and wiping
Use of hands and arms to operate cleaning equipment and tools
Comfortable working in a variety of environments (e.g., dorms, offices, restrooms, outdoor walkways)
Must be able to perform tasks in both hot and cold conditions, depending on building and weather

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize restrooms, classrooms, offices, residence halls, lounges, and common areas
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors, carpets, and surfaces
Empty trash and recycling containers and replace liners
Refill supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
Clean windows, mirrors, glass doors, and other surfaces
Report maintenance issues (e.g., plumbing, lighting, or damage) to appropriate personnel
Perform deep cleaning during academic breaks or as scheduled
Maintain cleanliness in dining areas and event spaces before and after functions
Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines
Secure buildings and rooms after cleaning, as necessary
Assist with moving furniture or setting up spaces for events, meetings, or campus activities
Support special projects such as summer turnover cleaning in residence halls
