About The Position

We are currently hiring a full-time Housekeeper at the Dogfish Inn in Lewes, Delaware. The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning and sanitation for Inn grounds, cottages, rooms, corridors, offices, and lobby. What You'll Brew: Responsible for daily cleaning of all rented rooms. Strips rooms, makes beds, mops, sweeps, vacuums, and performs all other general cleaning activities. Cleans cottages in their entirety; maintain the cleanliness of the cottage bathroom, staircase, corridors, and offices. Maintains all outdoor spaces, keeping walkways clear of sand, dirt and trash Picks up and sorts trash and recycling Stocks minibar, glassware, paper products and all other elements to finalize a room for renting Maintains and keeps inventory of required cleaning supplies and tools Responsible for linen management including laundering in house Manages the in and out of dirty/clean linens while anticipating future needs Creates, modifies and executes any cleaning SOPs for quick turns, stay overs and seasonal deep cleans Performs light buildings and ground work: changes lightbulbs, fixes blinds, tightens screws, etc. Works safely with a variety of chemicals Performs monthly inventory of all cleanings supplies and linens Helps to maintain the cleanliness and organization of the laundry room, cleaning room, and closet areas. Trains new coworkers and helps manage and oversee contracted cleaners

Requirements

Education: High School/GED
5+ years of housekeeping experience for rental or hotel properties
Basic computer skills
Self-starter, motivated and proactive
Good communication and interpersonal skills, able to work with/as a team
Strong organizational skills

Nice To Haves

Experience using commercial laundry machines, processing laundry, and stain treatment
Product knowledge and familiarity with the area is a bonus
Experience using hand tools, cleaning tools, and power tools
