Housekeeper for a Family in Virginia Highlands
About The Position
We are seeking a housekeeper to maintain the cleanliness, organization, and daily flow of a multi-level home with a main house, guest house, and outdoor spaces. Responsibilities include making beds daily; washing, drying, folding, and occasional ironing of laundry (weekly sheets and towels, sometimes twice weekly; children’s laundry only); dishes; cleaning counters; vacuuming and dusting; dusting light fixtures and blinds; and keeping the guest house clean and ready. The role also includes light organizing projects such as toy areas, pantry, fridge, and closets, coordinating donation drop-offs, occasional errands, and maintaining outdoor areas by sweeping porches and removing cobwebs. Equipment is provided, and the housekeeper is expected to bring eco-friendly cleaning supplies. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, comfortable with stairs, dependable, and able to take initiative to keep the home consistently clean. We are seeking someone who can begin within one month.
