The Housekeeper position involves promptly responding to guest and department requests, preparing and transporting supply carts to assigned areas, and meticulously cleaning guest rooms. This includes following procedures for room access, replacing amenities and supplies, changing linens, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, and removing trash and room service items. The role also requires checking appliances, straightening furnishings, dusting, polishing, and performing floor care duties like vacuuming. Adherence to all company safety and security policies, reporting maintenance issues or hazards, completing safety training, and proper storage of flammable materials are essential. Housekeepers must maintain a clean and professional appearance, ensure confidentiality, and provide excellent guest service by welcoming guests, anticipating their needs, assisting those with disabilities, and using clear, professional language. Teamwork and adherence to quality standards are also key aspects of the role. Physical demands include moving, lifting, carrying, and placing objects up to 25 pounds without assistance and over 25 pounds with assistance, pushing/pulling loaded carts, reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, standing for extended periods, and performing tasks requiring fine motor skills.
