As a Housekeeper, you will ensure a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This role directly supports infection prevention and contributes to patient safety, comfort, and recovery. Other responsibilities include: Assist with care and maintenance of housekeeping equipment and maintain supply levels. Dust furniture, doors, walls, shelving, mirrors, windows, and equipment. Perform dry and wet mopping of patient rooms. Vacuum or mop offices, halls, stairways, and public areas. Gather and dispose of trash and waste materials. Remove waste and soiled linens following appropriate procedures. Clean and disinfect sinks, toilets, commodes, utility hoppers, and other fixtures. Perform terminal cleaning of patient rooms and prepare for new admissions, including adherence to isolation protocols. Complete required cleaning documentation. Shampoo rugs and furniture; move furniture or heavy items as needed. Clean vents, fans, windows, door frames, and high surfaces using a ladder. Change privacy curtains with ladder use. Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines. Participate in required meetings, in‑service training, and educational programs. Support departmental quality, safety, and infection control standards. Perform other related duties as assigned.
