About The Position

REPORTS TO: Maintenance Director SUPERVISES: No One QUALIFICATIONS: The candidate for Housekeeper must possess exemplary work ethics and the ability to assist and interact with seniors in a caring, kind, and respectful manner. A Housekeeper must be able to speak and read English to the degree that allows for understanding simple written notes, verbal instructions, and to understand and be understood by a typical Resident. Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull a minimum of 40 pounds. Must also be able to move about the facility quickly and be able to physically assist Residents in the event of an emergency.

  • A Housekeeper must be able to speak and read English to the degree that allows for understanding simple written notes, verbal instructions, and to understand and be understood by a typical Resident.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull a minimum of 40 pounds.
  • Must also be able to move about the facility quickly and be able to physically assist Residents in the event of an emergency.

Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly cleans each Resident’s room once a week, as scheduled. Cleaning techniques and quality standards will be as instructed by the Maintenance Director and company policy.
  • Cleans each Resident’s bathroom daily, including emptying the Resident’s trash daily.
  • Cleans common areas of the facility on a routine or as-needed basis, as instructed and requested by the Supervisor.
  • Is observant and aware of any situation or occurrence in the facility that may pose a safety hazard to Residents or staff. Reports such observations immediately to the Supervisor.
  • Performs job duties in accordance with safety rules.
  • Attends all meetings and in-services as requested by the Executive Director or Supervisor.
  • Be available to work at times, days, or positions other than those scheduled as requested by the Executive Director or Supervisor.
  • Performs other duties as may be requested from time-to-time.
