The Housekeeper position involves promptly responding to requests from guests and other departments. Key duties include filling and transporting supply carts, entering guest rooms following proper procedures, and replacing guest amenities, linens, and terry. The role requires making beds, folding terry, cleaning bathrooms, and removing trash, dirty linen, and room service items. Housekeepers must also check that all in-room appliances are present and functional, straighten desk items and furniture, dust, polish, remove marks from surfaces, vacuum carpets, and perform general floor care. Adherence to all company safety and security policies and procedures is mandatory, including reporting maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries, and completing safety training. Maintaining a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance, as well as confidentiality of proprietary information, is essential. The role also involves welcoming and acknowledging guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing their service needs, assisting individuals with disabilities, and expressing genuine appreciation. Professional communication and teamwork are expected to achieve common goals and ensure quality standards. The position has physical demands, including moving, lifting, carrying, and placing objects up to 25 pounds without assistance and over 25 pounds with assistance, pushing and pulling loaded carts over various surfaces, reaching overhead and below the knees, bending, twisting, pulling, stooping, standing, sitting, kneeling, or walking for extended periods, and performing tasks requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
