Hours are Monday through Friday Hours: 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, with ability to work every other weekend and holidays. Experience in a hospital or long term care setting preferred. General Responsibilities: Dust, mop, and vacuum floors. Dust furniture, woodwork, lights, pictures. Clean bathrooms. Spot clean walls and carpets. Collect and dispose of trash. Spot clean carpets. Wash windows. Wash and rehang curtains. Defrost refrigerators. Turn mattresses. Stock closets with needed supplies. Report needed repairs on equipment. Fill-in in all areas as scheduled by Housekeeping/Laundry Director. Performs other duties as assigned. Able to lift 40+ lbs. Occasionally climb stairs and ladders. Occasionally reach at or above the shoulder height. Able to squat, kneel, stoop to floor level. Able to discriminate colors. Able to see objects closely to print and read chemical instructions and cleaning schedules. Able to distinguish smells to identify chemicals and smell something hot or burning.
