Essential Duties and Responsibilities (This is not an exhaustive list of all duties/responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned) Clean all assigned areas including but not limited to patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas, hallways, nursing stations, dining rooms, shower rooms, public bathrooms, offices, staff lounge, conference room. Wipe all railings in your assigned area each day; dust & mop all assigned areas daily; move furniture away from walls. Keep utility and storage rooms in clean and orderly condition. Dust furniture and equipment. Wash walls, ceiling, and woodwork. Clean the inside of patient room windows, door panels, and sills. Stock housekeeping cart at the end of day, keeping the cart in a clean orderly fashion; chemicals not in use locked inside the cart. Load/unload washer and dryer; fold laundry. Distribute patient personal clothes after getting washed. Empty wastebaskets & transport trash and waste to disposal area. Front office deep cleaning on monthly basis. Be AVADE trained. Follow established safety precautions when using cleaning chemicals and use as directed, i.e., infectious control, PPEs, and universal precautions. Ability to multi-task, manage time, meet deadlines, and remain calm and professional under pressure. Maintain standards of confidentiality of Lifeways’ clients and records. Perform all work duties and activities in compliance with Lifeway’s policies/procedures, OSHA and HIPAA regulations.
