About The Position

Housekeeper-Full Time The Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel or Miller Time Pub & Grill is looking to expand our Housekeeping team. We are looking for a housekeeper who will be under general supervision, clean hotel guest rooms and assigned areas according to established standards of cleanliness . Part of Milwaukee based Marcus Hotels & Resorts, the Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel in downtown Lincoln has been serving Nebraska's capital city for nearly 90 years and has evolved as the benchmark for hospitality.

Requirements

• Must be able to work a varied schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, holidays and the ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to use all cleaning equipment and chemicals.
• Physical stamina to complete repetitive manual labor tasks.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull and or carry up to 100 lbs.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, lift, grasp, stretch, and use a vacuum and push a cart on a regular and extended basis.
• Must be able to represent the company in a professional, well-groomed and courteous manner at all times.

Responsibilities

• Clean the hotel guest rooms and assigned areas to ensure a positive guest experience and report all floor/carpet care, maintenance/repair needs in a timely manner.
• Remove all trash and linen from room attendant cart throughout the day and empty cart at the end of the shift so that no linen or trash is in the carts at the end of shift.
• Clean corridors, mirrors, tables, baseboards, signage, walls and fire boxes.
• Sweep, mop around and wipe down ice machines on all floors and report any maintenance issues.
• Ensure the guest corridor floors are kept clean and free of debris at all times.
• Follow all Marcus Hotels and Resorts policies and procedures, OSHA standards and procedures, Marriott Standards, and key control procedures.
• Attend all scheduled mandatory Housekeeping Department meetings, trainings and hotel meetings.
• Perform all other related duties and special projects as requested and/or assigned.
