About The Position

The Housekeeper plays a vital role in maintaining cleanliness, orderliness, and a welcoming environment within residential or commercial settings. The Housekeeper is responsible for performing a variety of cleaning tasks, including floor care, dusting, and waste disposal, while managing time effectively to meet daily schedules. Requirements

  • Ability to speak and understand English to follow instructions and communicate effectively.
  • Demonstrated manual dexterity and physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including reaching overhead and floor care.
  • Capability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Basic literacy skills to read and write instructions and reports.
  • Basic mathematical skills to perform simple computations related to cleaning tasks.

  • Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial services.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing surfaces.
  • Maintain floor care by using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment to ensure floors are clean and safe.
  • Follow detailed oral and written instructions to complete cleaning assignments accurately and efficiently.
  • Manage time effectively to complete all assigned tasks within a fast-paced work environment.
  • Reach overhead and other difficult-to-access areas to clean thoroughly, ensuring no spots are missed.
  • Perform basic mathematical computations to measure cleaning supplies or manage inventory as needed.
  • Read and write to document completed tasks, report issues, and communicate with supervisors or team members.
  • Adhere to safety and sanitation policies to maintain a healthy environment for all occupants.
