The Housekeeper is responsible for performing routine cleaning of guest rooms and interior of hotel as assigned by the Housekeeping Manager. Duties include: responding to guest inquiries and requests, cleaning, mopping and disinfecting hotel rooms, stocking and keeping inventory of supplies and cleaning solutions, and collecting garbage and recyclables and linens from guest rooms. Advises Housekeeping and Hotel Management when rooms are ready for occupancy, examines rooms, halls and lobbies to determine if repairs are needed and cleans guest exercise and pool area clean and tidy. Performs additional job duties as assigned by the department manager. Housekeeper pay starts at $19.32/hr and increases to the standard rate of $20.46/hr at successful completion of 90 day orientation period. Education: High School Diploma GED equivalent required Experience & Requirements: Three months of hotel housekeeping experience Knowledge and experience using and operating cleaning equipment Additional education/experience may substitute for the minimum requirements of the position.
